Contradictions

The brochure is not the school.

School is what happens after the tour is over.

“We believe every child is unique.”

So everyone gets the same worksheet, same test, same pace, same benchmark.

“We nurture curiosity.”

But questions are welcome only when they align with the syllabus.

“We build confidence.”

Then rank children in public.

“We believe in holistic development.”

But art, music, sport, play, rest, and boredom disappear when exams arrive.

“We create leaders.”

But children need permission to drink water, go to the toilet, speak, move, choose, and disagree.

“We prepare children for the future.”

Using tools designed for the past.

“We partner with parents.”

But parents need permission to take their own child on holiday.

“We teach values.”

Then create systems where parents fake medical certificates and children learn that lying to authority is normal.

“We promote critical thinking.”

But the child who challenges the teacher is called difficult.

“We make learning joyful.”

But nobody wants to go on Monday.

The contradiction is not an accident.

It is the business model.

Schools sell aspiration to parents and compliance to the system.

This is the real manifesto.

The one children live inside every day.
